Independent Project
BOOK:CHAIR is an independent, multi-format publication project. I designed and built a chair that functions both as a place to sit and as a book itself. The chair adopts familiar book elements, cover, spine, colophon, and chapters, while incorporating pockets that hold two traditionally formatted books.

The first publication (1)Research documents my inquiries into the book as a form and as a cultural, multifunctional object. The second publication (2)Publish, presents firsthand references and documentation from  the process of designing and constructing the chair. The third publication (3)Bookmark is instruction for a how-to for the audience to make their own BOOK:CHAIR
