BOSTON UNIVERSITY

School Of Visual Arts
MFA Exhibition

As part of a four-person design team, I worked on the visual identity for the 2025 MFA Exhibition at Boston University, bringing together graduating students across five disciplines. Our goal was to create an identity that reflected both the range of practices and our shared experience as an MFA community.

A key challenge was our physical separation across two buildings, 808 and 855 Commonwealth Avenue, divided by streets, trains, and distance. Using segmented lines as a central motif, the identity bridges these spaces, acting as both a connector and a metaphor for the varied paths that brought us to BU.

We created a custom variable typeface to reinforces this idea, allowing letter forms to shift and reconfigure, speaking to how no two BU experiences, or bodies of work, are the same.
